And with our award-winning Grants Traditionally Smoked Rope Hung Salmon, modern business methods go out of the window. Our premier product, which was the only British smoked salmon entry to win three stars at the 2017 Great Taste Awards, represents a return to the oldest traditions of smoking and hand carving salmon. The Rope Hung also holds the esteemed Good Housekeeping Institute’s Taste Approved award.

We hand pick Atlantic salmon, which is then salted by hand in sea salt, and then carefully rope hung and smoked for three days using wood chips from Scottish whisky barrels. Hanging the salmon up, rather than smoking it laid flat, makes it more tender and flavoursome.
